Seller: Smartphone sales jump 30% to 300 bln rbl in Jan–Jun

MOSCOW, Jul 2 (PRIME) -- The Russian smartphone market could have increased by 30% on the year to 300 billion rubles in January–June, according to a preliminary estimate, electronics retailer M.Video-Eldorado Group said in a statement seen by PRIME on Friday.

“It’s the maximum interest to smartphones that the Russian buyers have shown in the last 10 years. The sales in units may reach 13–14 million, flat on the year,” the seller said.

The top five most popular brands were Samsung, Xiaomi, Apple, Honor, and realme.
